Theatre & Christian Vision: Fundraiser and Performance Exhibit
Presented by Oratorio, Bread & Wine is excited to announce “Theatre & Christian Vision,” a fundraiser and performance exhibit.
Featuring speeches from Owen Brown Bo Hanley on the progress and future of Bread and Wine Theatre Company & the role that theatre plays in shaping a Christian vision for life and the place of theatre in Christ’s kingdom; various performance exhibits; and the serving of hors d'oeuvres.
The featured exhibit of this event is the first ever performance of Vicki Riba Koestler and Owen Brown’s new play, Encircled with Ice. This imagined epilogue of Wilder’s classic one act has been termed by Stephen Rojcewicz, M.D., Ph.D., as “a perfect homage to Thornton Wilder’s The Long Christmas Dinner.” Rojewicz’s fellow Thornton Wilder Society BOD and Thornton Wilder Journal editor, Lincoln Konkle, Ph.D., touts in a similar vein that “this new play would make a great companion piece to LCD in a professional production.”
The event will be held on March 1st at 1pm at St. Francis De Sales Oratory - 2653 Ohio Ave, St. Louis, MO 63118. While the event is invitation only, we welcome those interested to inquire via email to breadandwinetheatreco@gmail.com.
